Appreciation
Okay, so... basically everyone except for the really, really incredible artists that don't even deserve to be for a moment considered amateur (which is definitely not me) on smackjeeves complains about how people don't review.
I'm being a conformist.
I try to work faster on my comic to get it online for you all to see, instead of working on it at my own desired pace if it was for my own viewing pleasures alone.
So basically, I'm just asking for some appreciation for the fact that I try to get pages to you guys...
When I put up new pages, I see the fans go up, but there are hardly ever new comments.
Honestly, I can draw pages until my hand falls off; but I really hate to ink pages, aside from the fact that it gives them the finished look. So, my reason for inking is so that they are presentable to post-- and quite truthfully, the more comments I get, the more willing I am to ink the next page.
For example, I have the next page drawn right now, but I don't feel like inking it one bit, because only a couple of people bothered to comment on the last page I updated.
Yeah, so there's my huge rant.
Basically, the end result is that even though smackjeeves is full of amateurs (excluding your occasional world wonder artist), we still deserve to have input.
We're putting up pages for you, so you should feel obliged enough to put up comments for us.
Kudos to anyone who just read all of this... send me a PM if you did and I'll think of something special for you.
That was my other irritation: people not reading the news unless there's a post saying to read it.
So please remember to return the favor and leave a comment every once in a while.
Enjoy.
